Journey of my Soul

Journey of my Soul painting represents emotions of anger, frustration, hurt, pain, sorrow, and imprisonment to attain spiritual freedom. We gain a sense of hope and security by acknowledging a higher power watching over us even though the journey is rough and tough. Here, I juxtapose primary colors of my soul which are ultimately leading us to a healing journey.

This is the butterfly. The soul longs to be a butterfly; but in the beginning stages is larvae. It is the journey of the soul to be a butterfly. Our soul is so hurt through the brokenness in life's journey. The brokenness leads to a deep understanding of what needs to be set free.

I have a burning desire to be heard, felt, seen, and loved for who I am. I hate how we live in a visual society. You have to look a certain way and talk a certain way to be accepted. I am sick of it. When I get alone with myself and God, I can be whoever I want because He still loves me and knows my heart
