Relieving facial restrictions

I have been exploring the various possible ways of relieving fascial restrictions in my body. I have been trying some new poses called infant poses. They can be more yang than yin, even though they are held for extended periods of time.
The first one I would like to share with you is called cradling the knee/leg. You will begin by lifting the right leg and cradling the knee/ leg into your chest. You are hugging and pulling, not bouncing without being vigorous or aggressive. At times you may feel the need to pull your knee into your ribs, or sometimes pulling it across the body and/or crossing the midline of the body. Feel for any muscular tensions or restrictions. Then you will need to change sides after about 5 minutes into the stretch. When doing these poses do whatever feels comfortable or natural. Move and feel. You can also lift the head up, making the spine an active part of this exercise. This engages the muscles of the throat, stomach, and neck. Do whatever feels comfortable or natural. Don't be in a rush with these poses. They will bring deeper and more complete relaxation in your body.
