There are lots of great core poses for yoga that will keep your body strong. One is called side lying plank. To get into into this pose, place your elbow under your shoulder. Then bend your bottom knee. Keep your top leg straight. Make sure your hips are stacked as you draw your navel in toward your spine. Engage your abdominals and pelvic floor muscles. Then it is time for you to lift your hips up. Press your elbow into the floor so your shoulder stays away from your ear. Your neck should be aligned with your spine. Avoid dropping your head down. For more of a challenge, straighten your bottom leg. There is a tendency to roll hips back. Remember to keep spine in good alignment. Then slowly with control come down. Lay face down, propping yourself up on forearms into sphinx pose or half cobra, breathing into your core before you repeat the sequence on other side.
