I am currently writing another book with Dr. Kachmann to educate the public on the health concerns people are having concerning type 2 diabetes.
One of my husband's favorite recipes is a dessert that can be eaten for breakfast. It is a fat burning recipe that will give you lots of energy for your day. I always thought it is best to eat your dessert early in the day. Then you have all day to burn up the calories.
HEALTHY OLD FASHION CHOCOLATE OATMEAL
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups old fashioned oats
2 Tbs. chia sees
1 Tbs. organic cocoa powder
2 1/4 cups coconut milk
2 Tbs. maple syrup or agave
2 Tbs pumpkin seeds or crushed walnuts
1 Tbs. shredded coconut
Chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS:
Place oats, chia seeds, cocoa powder in a large bowl and stir until combined. Add coconut milk and syrup to the oat mixture and stir until combined. Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator overnight.
Top with shredded coconut, nuts or seeds, and chocolate chips. Enjoy!
